Our memory card reader kind of died, so I couldn't get any pictures off my camera. Now I have a new one. Thus, I have pictures.
Haley turned 1 a few weeks ago. About two weeks before her birthday she achieved the amazing feat of being able to sit up from laying down. Not long after, she was pulling herself up. And now she is cruising along all the of the furniture. Most kids take a few months to do that. Haley? About a week. I suppose you can say she's amazing (and leave out the part that it took her a full year to even try).
So here are some birthday pictures. Isn't she adorable?"What's that?" Haley's first "word" is "what's that." Not mama or dada. I suppose everything else is more interesting than us.
She wolfed down a quarter of this pie. We don't really like cake in these here parts, so birthday pie it is.
Who can resist the cute big sister.
And the other cute big sister.
Always so willing to share.
Her loot. Her (mom's) favorite gift was the baby gate. It only took having number three to finally get one.
Happy Birthday, Haley!

Haley Turns The Big 1

How you know when Haley is full...
And as a side note...I overheard someone saying they named their new baby Haley and my first thought was "I really like that name. We should use it." Oh yeah. We already did.

Buzz Light Year
This ride was new since I had last been to Disneyland (which was when I was in high school) and it was great.
You see those numbers on there? Yes, those are our scores. Yes, Kate beat me. By a lot. Can you tell how often I play video games?

Texas vs. Nevada
How Texans build snowmen:I promise you this was his real attempt at building a snowman.
How Nevadans build snowmen:
How Texans look on a normal Saturday:
How Nevadans look on a normal Saturday:
I guess Nevada wins. Happy Nevada Day everybody. Oh, and Halloween, too.

Destination: Disneyland
Okay, we're back from Disneyland and here is the obligatory post following a vacation. I should be doing a number of other things (ie folding the three loads of laundry on my bed, putting the groceries away, doing the dishes), but this just seems more fun. It may or may not be long, depending on how long my attention span lasts. I promise minimal talking and lots of pictures. Some might think that I'm not capable of minimal talking, but I am. I swear.Kate at the airport. Quite excited to be "going to California and then Disneyland." Couldn't quite catch the concept that we'd be in Disneyland and California at the same time so we just let her think we were going to two separate places.
We got there a little bit early so we could be first in line so they had to just sit at the gates and wait.
Cambri's first (and last) ride on Splash Mountain. This girl went on every ride in the park except Indiana Jones because she was too short.
Haley got to do her favorite thing a lot while we were there: get held. I wondered how it would be with her, but it was super easy. I'm pretty sure that Disneyland has a little experience in having little ones there, so they make it very convenient.
The Princess Lunch. This was probably the girls' absolute favorite part. I'm pretty sure if you have girls, it's a must. It's super over-priced, but so worth it since you get to see 5 princesses and they all come to each table. Beats standing in line for an hour (at least) to see them in the park!
This one, along with It's a Small World, were the two favorite rides hands down.
Alright, attention span gone.
